The neighborhood is home to a variety of different attractions and activities. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of parks and trails to explore. Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is a popular spot for snorkeling, while Koko Head trail offers a great heart pumping hike up an old military cable car track to the top, with breathtaking views of the ocean, Diamond Head and Hawaii Kai town. Other popular activities include swimming, fishing, and surfing.

East Honolulu is also home to a wide array of restaurants, bars, and shops. From casual eateries to upscale dining, there is something to please every palate. The has a private water way throughout it, giving many homes waterfront and boating activities, like pulling your boat up to restaurants and bars and shopping.


The neighborhood is also home to a number of schools and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hawaii Pacific University, and Chaminade University are all within 20-30 minutes drive.  The area is more of a bedroom community, with some amenities, like a Costco, Safeway and many other smaller shops and eateries.
